Last Day...

So..today was our last day of lesson with Rita. I would like to thank her for all her teachings and guidance throughout the semester. It was a learning experience and a journey as well.

The exposure and tools in this class will give me a confident boost to make my own exhibition one day, which i very much like to.

The mock-up exhibition is something that i wish i could make it a dream come true as it is very feasible. The big thing i need to make it work, i believe is networking with the right people and gaining lots of support. So i hope i will be given such privileges and opportunity in the future.

Trip to flat galleries.

I missed the half of the session with Rita but i manage to make-up for the other half.

I didn't know and even realised that there are such things as flat galleries! I mean firstly, flats are suppose to be a residential area (where people sleep, and no-business allowed kinda thing) but in here, it's legal to have galleries even in residential houses! Isn't that great and bizarre! I could turn my house into a gallery, here! Save cost, time, etc...Just think about the $$$ you are saving....Anyway, this is just a confession from a naive, "alien" from asia. We don't have such privileges. OR maybe i should pioneer it back home.. hmmm .... *legal issues legal issues*

I just wish that they could exhibit the works in more decorative manner, and not just plain looking space/house with the works hanging on the wall. I'm not asking for over-decorated galleries, but a little personal touch will not do any harm.

The Visit to Mi Vida (heaven and hell) Exhibition in Mucsarnok

The Exhibition is an eye-opener for me as it's different from any other exhibitions that we have been to. Generally i love most of the artworks there as it is very relevant to today's world and i can relate to it very well, without having to know background knowledge. Ironically, i love the Balkan Erotic Epic the most, not because of its eroticism, but because of how it was exhibited/displayed. Firstly, the topic is totally unique in itself and i love how different videos relate to each other. The large size displays are also nice to look at. The only thing that it can made the whole experience better is to have the "explanation video" as big as the other displays, and playing the sound louder. Where the sound can be a disturbance created by other videos, they can solve this by putting subtitles.

Other exhibitions are as unique as well, although some of them are too much hidden for us to find it. Some areas are too dark, which can be a danger for visitors. They could solve this by putting illuminated arrows/direction on the floor to guide visitors to various artworks in darker areas.

They could also do something about the ventilation of the whole exhibition area as it became too stuffy after spending quite some time in there.
